Ombré Lips

Happy 2013 everyone :)
wish you all success and joy in this new year and beyond!

I didn't really have time to update my blog at all after the exam.
I celebrated my new year with family at my parent's coffee farm. It was 14
degrees celsius in the morning. Can you believe it? 14 c in Thailand!

Well, I was looking for some inspirations on Holiday makeup and found this
Ombre thing. Ombre is everywhere - ombre lips, hair, and even ombre nails.

But what exactly does ombre mean?

"Ombré" is French for an effect with a gradual colour transition from light to dark;
for example, with hair, when the ends are deliberately lighter than the roots.

Ombre lipstick was first appeared in fashion shows for Prabal Gurung

Spring 2012 with makeup model and blush purple lipstick. Purple shades on
the lips as the center of the model. Designers and fashion houses such as
Nina Ricci, Gucci, Yohji Yamamoto and Raf Simons for Dior also didn't want to lose.
They try to decorate the models on the runway with the lipstick shades.
This technique has become big hits in the world of beauty!

Here is 3 easy steps to achieve the look
1. Apply the darker, opaque lipstick straight from the tube
2. Apply the lighter lipstick (or concealer) in the middle of your pout
3. Blend!

OR if you don't have dark shaded lipstick, you can apply the light color first
then blend it with your dark eye shadow. Apply gloss for a more dramatic look.

Have a magical holiday everyone. I hope you enjoy my blog

Backstage Makeup Summer2013

So.. the world has not ended. I'm actually a little disappointed.
God come on, give me Zombie apocalypse or something!

I just finished my Intermediate course for both Cuisine and Pastry.
The written exam was painful, so as the practical exam. Now that I'm
in culinary path. I can't do a review on nails anymore. I got like 10 scars
on my hand and fingers. Got cut almost everyday. Don't even mention
about burns. It's everywhere! Anyways, It's holiday now which means
I FINALLY GET TO PAINT MY NAILS YESSSSSSSS!

And here, I take you backstage at the Paris, Milan, London and New York

shows where these looks were created, showing you the very best make-up
of the season close up. Hope these looks give you some inspirations for
your holiday makeup. Tutorial coming soon.. Enjoy :)

2012 Best Beauty Products

As we approach the end of this year, I would like to share you guys
my 10 beauty products that shine above the rest. I am not an expert
but I have spent my time trying a big amount of good, and bad beauty
products throughout this year of 2012, here are my pick of the best..

Photobucket
Best Foundation: Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundatio
For foundation, I have always looked for products that are lightweight
with good coverage. I don't like the feeling of having anything heavy on
my skin as it always ends up looking very unnatural and cakey.
This product gives an absolutely flawless finish with great coverage.
Long lasting both in terms of wear and use. Be careful though, this
product doesn't work well with oily skin.

Best Concealer: Cle De Peau Beaute Concealer
I've tried a lot of different concealers: Lancome, Bobbi Brown, MAC, Muji,
Maybelline etc. This one is the best of all. As I don't have that much of acne,
I only use it for my dark circles and this is perfection. It lasts all day and
doesn't leave lines around the eyes. Natural/matte finish and never look like
you put any concealer on, even when you take photo with flash!

Best Facial Treatment Essence: SK-II  Cellumination Essence
I adore this product. First, because I got it for free! (Thank you ka Dr.Uey!) and
second, My skin has become fairer and more radiant, even without make up.
I get less blemishes and pimple scars seem to lighten. This product is a basic
serum consisting of water, vitamin B, coconut, rice bran oils and a tiny bit
of pitera. best serum in terms of smoothing and whitening! I don't see anything
negative about this product, except for the price tag.

Best Moisturizer: Skinfood Gold Caviar Emulsion
I got this product from my Korea trip last year. This is a softening emulsion
made with Russian caviar and pure gold helps moisturize and revitalize the
skin. The texture is light, a little bit watery but perfect when applied as the
skin can absorb it very quickly. My skin is very dry and this product is perfect
for me. Not too heavy and moisten the skin immediately.

Best Nail Product: Nars Nail Polish
Back in April, the company launched a limited edition collection of six
beautifully sunny shades made in collaboration with Thakoon. It was
the best collection ever! All these colors are beautiful and they really are
long lasting. No need to apply a a top coat as they hold up well for
about a week without it. I have to say I prefer these over Skinfood or
OPI ones.

Best Perfume: Yves Saint Laurent Parisienne
Love the romantic floral scent. Not overpowering. Balanced and perfect.
It makes me feel very feminine and sophisticated. Love it! Just love it!

Best Facial Scrub: Honey and Sugar!
Skin care can sometimes be complicated. Therefore, using simple and
natural ingredients on your skin may be a lot more gentle than using the
other chemical-filled products. Honey is known for its antibacterial and
moisturizing properties, while sugar can be used as an exfoliant. If you
mix the two together, you have a moisturizing scrub or mask that
exfoliates the skin. It's very easy to make and also very low cost. I use
this scrub twice a week. Skin is smoother right after use!

Best Makeup Remover: Biore Cleansing Oil Cotton Sheets
This amazing cotton sheet can remove my foundation easily, especially
the eye-makeup. You just have to press the sheet on your eyes for about
5 seconds, and gently wipe them. 90% of your stubborn eyeshadows,
liners, mascara are gone! Very convenient and inexpensive.

Best Eye Shadow Palette: Maybelline Hyper Diamonds BR-1
I've been seeing this around for a while now. The palette consists highlighter,
two prime colors, contour color and topcoat color, this will let you achieve
dazzling diva-worthy eyes in just 5 easy steps. Colors blend well and are smooth.
I can say that I use this palette everyday and actually use every color they have.

Best Lipstick: M.A.C Satin Mocha
Satins are my favourite finish from M.A.C lipsticks. If you're looking for a

brownish with a hint of pink lipstick then I definitely recommend this color!
It's a natural beautiful everyday color that can be worn anywhere. I have used
this a few times in my tutorial. see older posts for more info and here is
a pic of my cracked lips wearing Satin Mocha..

I'm back!

It's been A YEAR since my last post. A lot's change in my life.
I thought I wouldn't blog anymore, thanks to P'pom my boss who
encouraged me to continue this. I LOVE YOU BOSS AND I WILL
NEVER QUIT. (He said I can't quit this job unless I die!)

I graduated from Accademia Italiana and started my Grand Deplome
course at Le Cordon Bleu. I'm starting to think that cooking is my
real passion (apart from fashion and makeup). It's strange because
when I was younger, I had no interest in cooking at all (but I love to eat
desserts) and one day I went to a restaurant, ordered a Chocolate lava cake,
and I thought "Well, it would be nice if they add a little bit more sugar and
this is slightly over baked". Then I started to bake it on my own, Not only
was I surprised about how edible it was, I was truly shocked that I enjoyed
the whole cooking process. So yes, here I am learning both cuisine and
pastry. The one and only who takes both courses in superior.
Here are some of the food I made :)
